June 26 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Webtopia: The worldwide wreck of tech and how to make the net work

In ‘Webtopia: The worldwide wreck of tech and how to make the net work’, Peter Lewis draws from his own pre- and post-tech experience and conversations with entrepreneurs, politicians, pastors, parents, teachers and journalists to argue that technology itself is not the problem – we are.

If we can fix our relationship with technology, it will be easier to fix our relationships with each other in an increasingly fragmented world.

Peter Lewis is the executive director of Essential, a research and communications company. He has worked previously as a journalist and political advisor and is a regular columnist for Guardian Australia.

The author talk is followed by question time and the opportunity for book signing.

There is seating for 100 people and standing room is available.

Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

If you have specific accessibility or seating requirements, please contact the library prior to the event.
